By Isidra Gomes

October 09, 2015

“YOU & I WILL DEFEAT AIDS”

Naples, Fla. – October 15th is National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD), a day to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS prevention among all Americans, specifically Hispanics/Latinos living in the United States and its territories. HIV testing should be part of routine health care.

HIV infection is a serious threat to the health of the Latino community. In Collier County, Hispanics represent 27% of the total population and historically they account for 26% of cumulative HIV/AIDS cases.
