INVITATION TO COMMUNITY WORKSHOP FOR US41 CORRIDOR

By Deborah Chesna

April 06, 2016

Naples, Fla.— The Healthy Communities Coalition and the Department of Health in Collier County are inviting the community to attend a public workshop to discuss the community’s vision for the US41 corridor from Airport-Pulling Road to Davis Boulevard. This corridor, which is highly utilized by pedestrians and cyclists, ranks #5 on the FDOT District One’s high crash corridor list. Input from this workshop will be included in a Health Impact Assessment (HIA). The HIA will provide recommendations to help decision-makers make choices about alternatives and improvements in policies, programs, and projects to prevent injury and promote health in our communities. It is your neighborhood – come join us and give us your input!

When: Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Tree of Life Church, 2132 Shadowlawn Drive, Naples, FL 34112

The Healthy Communities Coalition is comprised of interested citizen, public and private organizations along with governmental agencies who believe in supporting and improving the health of their community. Increasing opportunities for active living and access to healthy foods are important components of health in the built environment.
