Main Office

The Florida Department of Health in Collier County (DOH-Collier) conducts surveillance for outbreaks of communicable diseases and other reportable conditions in accordance with Rule 64D-3, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.) to protect the residents and visitors of our county. DOH-Collier has individual programs that investigate and report HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Sexually Transmitted Diseases. The Epidemiology Program investigates all other diseases/conditions which are reportable to the Florida Department of Health. Reporting these diseases is required so that the health department can follow up on every case and help to prevent the disease from spreading.
